How do you ship my purchase?
All orders are shipped United States Postal Service using Priority Mail. Shipping costs will be calculated at
checkout.
Can you use clothes that have buttons, zippers or pockets?
Yes. We try to incorporate them whenever we can. If, however, the buttons or snaps are loose (a potential choking hazard), then we would remove them and sew the front closed. We can even put special items you provide in the pockets if you would like.
Do I have to cut up the clothes before I send them to Defining Pieces?
No. Just pack up everything and send it to us, and we will cut the pieces to fit.
Can you use bibs, hats and receiving blankets?
Yes. We have used almost anything that is made out of fabric. don't hesitate to send us anything you would like to include. It will make your blanket
more interesting.
Can I send infant clothes and toddler clothes?
You can send any size clothing. You can even send receiving blankets, bibs or maternity clothing.
What do you use as a backing?
We use a backing of soft cotton material that we select to coordinate with the front of your blanket.
Do you put batting in the blankets?
Yes, our blankets do have batting.
The backs that we use are selected for color and very soft.
Are your blankets quilted?
No. We do however lightly tie the layers in a few spots.
Are the Heirloom Blankets machine washable?
They are as machine washable as the clothes that you provide.
Do you return unused clothing and scraps?
We do not normally return unused clothing unless you request us to do so. Please send only the clothing that you would like used in your blanket.
